Lust and Wander seeks to explore the things that we as humans crave and desire, whether it’s travel, mouthwatering meals, intimacy, or a sense of belonging and purpose. Through exploration of our physical and metaphorical worlds, we can reduce the stigma of a life lived unapologetically, in pursuit of living passionately.

Hi there! We are Demi and Chris.
Both originally from the Washington, D.C. area, we currently travel full time in our 36-foot motorhome “Holly” (2011 Holiday Rambler Vacationer) with our dog and cat.

Demi (she/her)
Named after Demi Moore, Demi is the only child of Chinese immigrants and had a semi-stereotypical Asian upbringing. To her and her parents’ disappointment, rather than becoming a child prodigy she was quite mediocre at everything she tried, especially math. Gradually she discovered that there was more to life than the traditionally prescribed path. However, she over-corrected and joined the United States Marine Corps straight out of college. For this next chapter she plans on taking back her life and journalism degree by posting inappropriate things on the Internet. She is a sucker for true crime, stand up comedy, and all forms of noods (as in noodles, but open for interpretation).

Our must haves: cooler backpack, insulated koozies, compact folding chairs.
Chris (he/him)
Chris refused to write his own bio, which he will probably regret once he sees this. Despite being conceived and raised in the 70s he has few long-term defects aside from his political views. He has way more energy and party spirit than his wife, who he sometimes refers to as Grandma. His biological father, though lacking in any real redeeming qualities, instilled in him from a young age a strong work ethic. From the age of 15 he has owned companies in landscaping, construction, real estate, mortgage and title, and software. Now he believes he has found a Holy Grail business in Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA), which will serve as our primary income from the road. In a past life he also raced motorcycles and restored classic cars.

Xena (Female American Akita)
We rescued Xena from A Passion for Paws in Romoland, California. PFP is a lifelong shelter primarily for Akita Inu dogs and others who may need a boost along the way. She’s about four and a runt so she’s small for an Akita. Before PFP she lived in a puppy mill and suffered a history of abuse – she loves people but is a little wary of other dogs. She embodies the Warrior Princess spirit of her namesake- part badass, part diva.
Ash (Male Domestic Longhair mix)
We rescued Ash from Morongo Basin Humane Society. We quickly learned that his outgoing nature that made us fall in love with him at the shelter also meant he is extremely talkative around the clock and has no apparent loyalty to the family (he’s a little slutty). He also has a plastic fetish, his favorite flavor being Ziploc bags. When he’s not being a rambunctious nuisance he is a chill loverboy with the disposition of a stoner.
